Anna – Personal Trainer

Anna Personal Trainer Wirral

Experience:

As a working mum, qualified in pre and post-natal personal training, my love for helping others in their health and fitness started some time ago…

Following gaining my Degree in Health Studies I finally decided upon my career path which was to follow, embrace and evolve in my passion for exercise. I qualified as a Personal Trainer 7 years ago and have developed a successful career, founded on client success and achievement. I was pleased to be offered my first Personal Training job at the gym which I had been an avid member at for many years, Fitness First. This was a great opportunity to experience Gym culture from the other side. Initially, I loved working in the gym environment and shared in my clients’ success and achievement throughout. Over time it became apparent that the gym environment was actually quite restrictive and it frustrated me that on a lovely summer evening members were inside the gym using the treadmills when we are lucky enough to live along the coastal path and many other great routes.

After a couple of years I left Fitness First to pursue Home Personal Training. I quickly built up a great client base and loved the flexibility and diversity that came with Home Personal Training for both my clients and me. I still get a thrill when clients realise how much of an effective workout can be done with little or no equipment, all on the spot! Home Personal Training allows me to create diverse, progressive and enjoyable sessions using a variety of equipment, indoor and out-door space at a time, day and frequency to suit each individual client.

During this time I became a Mother to a lovely little girl, it was at this time I had my own challenge to achieve: I had a size 8 wedding dress to get into in 4 months! Following all my tricks of the trade this was no problem. It was fascinating and alarming learning all of the contrasting do’s and don’ts of pre & post- natal exercise as opposed to regular training. The differences are immense and I value my knowledge and experience in this area tremendously. Working with pre-natal women is incredible to be part of the journey, not only does it benefit the Mother in body and mind but it has endless benefits for the baby during birth and throughout its life. Then post-natal, it’s amazing to see and bring joy to women as they achieve their best body ever!

Throughout my career as a Personal Trainer I have worked with a huge variety of clients achieving a huge variety of goals including: Strength, Weight loss, Sport specific, Rehabilitation, Toning, Core and Sculpting. I have enjoyed each and every challenge for both myself and the client, success and achievement is the most rewarding feeling!

Why I do what I do:

To achieve success on a daily basis for both myself and my clients makes this the best job in the world!

What I enjoy:

As an exercise fanatic my initial drive and motivation as a young woman was to achieve and maintain a good body shape. As my fitness improved that became an equally important value to me. As I began to understand more and then training to become a qualified Personal Trainer I enjoy the functions, the methods and the components of successful exercise whatever your goal, but most of all seeing RESULTS!!!

Interesting fact:

As well as being a Personal Trainer at Lisa Foley Fitness, I am employed part-time by the NHS at a Hospital Gym. This is a fascinating and challenging job yet equally as rewarding as Personal Training.
