Jude – Operations Manager

Personal Trainer Operations Manager : Jude

My career has historically been in I.T. and most recently working as a Regional Manager for a global I.T. outsourcing organisation, managing large teams and budgets.

However, a small opportunity for change, allowed me to move from corporate life to the wonderful world of health and fitness, helping Lisa support clients in their ambitions and dreams.

I feel very fortunate to be able to play my part and bring my skills, and passion for supporting people through positive change, to the business. I’m also a bit of a ‘spreadsheet’ queen and running a business creates plenty of opportunities for new spreadsheets! 😉

I took part in my first sprint triathlon last summer…and finished(!)…which was a great sense of achievement. I also recently achieved my personal best at the Manchester 10k – yay!

To be honest though, I’m most proud of being a part of the Lisa Foley Fitness team. As clichéd as it may sound, it’s so rewarding to be a part of something that actually does directly make a positive difference for people. I know I’ll reflect on this time with a real sense of satisfaction – feeling that we did all we could do for clients and charities (and ourselves).

To play my part in helping everyone discover that living an active and healthy life can be rewarding and actually quite fun! Coming from a busy corporate career I know how difficult it can be to find the time and motivation to exercise and live healthily so I realise any help you can get makes a difference. Even if that’s just ‘buddying’ up with a friend to go on a walk or run, it makes the whole process so much more attainable and enjoyable.

I also want us to be able to reach even more people in the future through recommendation and word of mouth, and to make sure we continue to listen to our clients so we can continually tailor what we offer and how we offer it.

And I just want to be able to keep on smiling every day – I’m very lucky and I know it!

Interesting fact:

Hmmm, I’m not sure if having double-jointed big toes counts as an interesting fact…does it??

What I enjoy:

I love being outdoors, walking, running and cycling…particularly in beautiful and picturesque landscapes like the Lakes. It cleanses the soul :-)

I’m also a food fan. I can’t think of anything better than cooking fresh seasonal produce and creating a taste sensation. Mediterranean food is a particular favourite – fish, lemons, olives, tomatoes, fennel…arrgh my mouth’s watering!

Oh and did I mention I love spreadsheets! 😉
