Lindsey – Personal Trainer

Experience
My sporting history involves being a former Team GB member, National and International competitor and medallist in ice dance. I have 5 years professional ice skating experience and have been fortunate enough to work alongside Olympic Champions and on TV shows for Eyeworks and travel lots.
I am currently in my final year working towards a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and I was given the opportunity to study abroad in the USA and spent 8 months of last year working with Athletic trainers, Physical therapists and Sport and Orthopaedic Physicians. I have been deeply involved in fitness and exercise for many years and I love helping others achieve their own personal goals. I also love Pilates and have being doing it for 8 years and currently finishing my first scientific piece of research involving Pilates based exercise.
Why I do what I do
I have a huge passion for sports medicine and exercise science and I am fascinated by the human body. Anything to do with fitness gets me excited and I believe in GIRL POWER so motivation, dedication and drive is what I feed on.
Interesting fact
I am a circus girl… I also perform on aerial hoops and silks for fun and aspire to do this whilst skating on ice!
What I enjoy
I love being active, and trying new things. I also love food and in particular English home cooking and I can’t live without chocolate. I’m a big believer in using food as the fuel to your engine.
I adore cats, and my gorgeous cat is currently 17 and still looking fab (its all in the food)!
And as I’m always busy I die for a holiday in the sun where I park my bum on the beach for a whole week each year. I travel as much as my bank allows, and on weekends I try to allow for time with the girls and family, desperate housewives and chick flick books, with the occasional night out and a boogie.
