September News Update
Summer Tour
Wow – and just like that a whole Summer seems to have zipped by! Still we love the Autumn, with it’s rusty browns, and clear days…perfect outdoor exercise weather in our view.
So what have we been up to during the Summer?
Well let’s take you on our Summer Tour…
New Trainers
Ok so as promised in our Advilast News update, Andy, our latest addition to the team who is a qualified Sports Therapist as well as a Personal Trainer, is now on the web site. Visit Andy’s profile to learn a bit more about him. He’s brought a wealth of skills to the team and is able to offer rehabilitation for clients that may have had a previous injury or have particular muscle or joint weaknesses. We’re therefore thrilled to have him on board.
Additionally, we are now expanding our home Personal Training services into the Liverpool, Wirral and Chester areas and as such our new man, Dan, (Dan the Man) has joined us to help in our quest to reach further afield. Dan’s LFF gear is on order (all the way from the States!) and as soon as T-shirts arrive we’ll have his photo and info on the About Us page along with the rest of our lovely team. C’mon postie!
Blog
We’ve continued to develop our Advice section of the web site with more blogs on nutrition and exercise, such as The Benefits of Running, Healthy Eating Tips and Motivation for Positive Change.
We hope you’re finding them useful, but as always if you have topics you’d particularly benefit from or questions you’d like answered then let us know and we’ll be sure to create a related blog for you.
Events
In terms of Events we supported Manchester Urbanathlon this Summer, with the team providing stretching and cool down support at the finish line for participants. Urbanathlon is a fun event and we met lots of lovely people raising money for worthy causes and just generally having a great time! See photos from the event on our LFF Facebook page.
We’ve also recently compiled our Events Diary, which provides a list of sporting events in the Manchester and Cheshire area over the next 12 months that clients (and anyone) can get involved in. We are not expecting everyone to do them all(!!) but what we do know is that having a goal or event to work towards can really help with commitment and motivation. It’s not always easy to stay on track with a regular exercise programme but having something to work towards certainly helps. So, whether a current client or not, take a look at our Events Diary and let us know if you’re planning to be there.
Corporate Training
Excitingly, we’ve also recently started providing exercise and nutrition packages to the workplace, involving group-based lunch-time or after-work fitness sessions alongside an email-based nutritional and motivational programme. Feedback so far is very positive and we’re hoping to reach out to even more businesses in the near future. What’s great is that as a small company ourselves we can tailor a programme specific to the needs of each workplace, and from our perspective it’s great to bring some healthy but fun activities to those who may spend much of their day sat at a desk
Discounts – yay!
Finally, in these economically challenging times, we’ve managed to negotiate 10% discounts for our clients with the following partners:
As they say at Tesco, every little helps
